CONNECT WITH NATURE while staying the night in the private cabin on the forested banks of the Pend Oreille River in Northeast Washington State. Have your morning coffee relaxing on the covered porch waiting for the abundant wildlife to walk right by: white tail deer, squirrels, wild turkeys and raccoon along with the occasional black bear with her cubs and on the rare occasions, bob cat, cougar, coyote and moose.
Birdwatchers will be treated to a vast variety of forest and water birds. Follow the deer trail along the river bank to the hidden observation deck overlooking the river to watch bald eagles & osprey fish for their breakfast while discovering the vast variety of water fowl swimming by. River otter, beaver, muskrat and turtles are also common water sightings from the deck.
Open year round, The Coop, built in 2010, offers two king size bedroom suites separated by a common living area, perfect for two couples traveling together or a retreat for nature lovers. Spend one night or many, your choice.
Be sure to bring your camera, binoculars and bird guides as the wildlife and vistas offer endless opportunities to capture once-in-a-lifetime sights! All you need to do is sit still and CONNECT WITH NATURE.
